..I don't usually write on here about anything sad as this is a place for fun & crafting but I can't not mention the events of this weekend - I'm sure you've all heard about the plane crash at the airshow in shoreham on saturday - for those of you who don't know shoreham is very local to me, about a 25 minute drive away - my parents were at the show along with thousands of others who witnessed the tragic accident. thankfully my parents were fine (which we only found out after an hour or so of panicking!) but police are confirming 11 are dead but that number may rise when the wreckage is removed today. It's just so very very sad, I don't really have any other words but my thoughts are with the family & friends of the victims :(

..moving on to a card..
I can finally share with you the a card I made for my friend jane..she celebrated her birthday about 3 weeks ago but has only just been given her card!
I used another of the lovely gorjuss girl stamps for this one which I coloured with copics & I tried something a little different with the backing papers..
I layered various sized pieces of paper & used foam pads here and there to give dimension - I was aiming to get that very relaxed layered look - I kinda like it :)
I finished off by adding a clock embellishment (tim holtz, i think) & some wood veneer hearts.
I'm heading into the craftroom now to make a card for the latest 'workshop group' challenge - this week the challenge is red, white & blue.
see you tomorrow!
Clair

I love the combination of pretty DP layers, fabulous image and pretty wooden hearts :-)
You are right about the air show crash, it really is tragic and it is obviously going to be particularly in your mind as it happened so close to you.
Big hugs, Kat xx
