changes, a 12x12 layout & a card...

..Sharni has decided to quit her job as a live-in nanny to my niece & nephew after almost 2 years, she's really enjoyed working with the kids but its time to move on to something different...this of course means that she's having to find a new place to live & find a new car - so yesterday we started packing, moving & clearing out her things. we're boxing up lots of stuff to hopefully do a car boot sale on sunday if the weather is good (which I why I didn't get time to blog yesterday!). today we have to focus on getting the car & insurance sorted out. Sharni is obviously a bit scared of all the changes but we know it will work out for the best - wish her luck :)

I have two crafty projects to share with you today, this layout I made a couple of weeks ago..

I used a 12x12 cut apart sheet to make this grid style layout..

It's a super easy way to make a layout - I'll definitely be doing it again! all you do is use the cut-apart as one sheet of paper (don't cut it apart!) & decorate each square with your photo & embellishments as you would a project life card..it comes together really quickly & looks very effective.

These photos were taken on a visit to Nymans a couple of years ago.

The other project I'm sharing is a card I made for this weeks workshop challenge over on our facebook group..

the challenge was set by Jenny.c. who said that as the queen will be the longest reigning monarch next month our challenge is to use patriotic colours - red, white & blue - to make a card.

I used my dies to make these 'floating' flowers -it doesn't show up all that well in the photos but in real life the flowers look really good :)

It was good fun to make & I enjoyed the challenge! :)

That's all for today, thank you for popping by & I'll be back tomorrow!
