A good friend of mine Jo has made it into her local paper by doing something extra special!

In 2006 Jo fled from a violent relationship along with her 2 young children. Women's aid were there for her, they provided her with a safe-house & gave her all the help & support needed to get her life back together, without Women's aid goodness knows where they would've ended up.

Jo has been selected by Women's aid to run the London Marathon on their behalf & raise some much needed money for the charity. This is a HUGE challenge for Jo she's hoping to raise over £2,000 in donations. Women's aid need every penny they can get to help the 1 in 4 women who experience domestic abuse at some stage in their life.
