Summer by the Sea...

Hi ladies,

Here's this weeks workshop project...
I've really changed my mind about this stamp set, when I first saw it in the catalogue I didn't really give it a second look, its not a stamp set I would particularly have chosen.. BUT..one of my ladies ordered it a few weeks ago & asked me to make some samples up for her & I have to say I've really changed my mind about it now!!..Its lovely!!! & it makes the kind of cards you can give to anyone for any occasion!!
We used the SU ink pads as watercolours to colour them in (you know the technique where you squeeze a little ink on to the lid of the ink pad & use it as a pallet with a aqua brush) & we also used the coordinating Stampin markers to add detail.
Colour combo..
So saffron
Close to cocoa
Brocade blue
Stamp sets used..
Summer by the sea
Happy everything
I hope you enjoy looking at them & they inspire you a little. Would love to hear your comments xxx

Lovely! I especially like the sentiments done in a darker colour than the card. Were they done in an opaque ink?

These cards look fantastic, must admit I wasn't too keen on the set in the catty but it looks beautiful.

Know what you mean about this set. I was particularly fond of it till I saw it in action, then WOW, realised how lovely it is. I used it at workshop last night, coloured with pastels, was really pleased with result.
